How Rotork successfully accelerates analytics and reporting within Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Discover how 5Y helps a FTSE 250-listed British manufacturer integrate multiple ERPs and consolidate reporting across global operations.
Rotork is a market-leading global provider of mission-critical flow control and instrumentation solutions for the industrial actuation and flow control markets in over 13 countries. They serve markets including oil and gas, water and wastewater, power, chemical process and industrial applications.
The Challenge
Rotork was in the process of rolling out Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management as its core ERP solution to run key operations within the business.
The overall programme will cover 60 locations, with a number of these currently using old versions of Dynamics, Excel spreadsheets and other ERP solutions. Data within Dynamics is also integrated into the main e-Con system for configuration. The company needed to remove the complexity inherent with Dynamics data structures, accelerate application integration and improve Dynamics reporting.
The Solution
Rotork chose the 5Y Unified Data Platform and our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solutions to remove the complexity of the Dynamics data structures, rapidly deploy a standard solution and content, and implement a fully scalable and flexible platform that can be further enhanced by the internal team, in line with business demands.
The Results
Having deployed the 5Y Unified Data Platform and related Dynamics 365 Solution, Rotork is now able to better understand and analyse Gross Profit, Revenue, and Costs across the business. This includes Intercompany and Third Parties.
In addition, Rotork can now undertake:
- Detailed analysis on Sales Order and Costs Variances (and the underlying reasons)
- Gross Margin analysis on Sales Orders and Material Costs, meaning Rotork can evaluate what margins and being generated on Sales Order
- Inventory analysis, including Shipping and Containers
