On Monday, 30th September 2024, 5Y hosted our annual Innovation Event at Mercedes-Benz World. It was an exciting day where we gathered with customers and partners to discuss the 5Y vision and roadmap, and share insights into the future of data-driven business.
Reflecting on Growth and Success
5Y Chairman Sam Sammour kicked off the event, speaking about our incredible growth and how it led to our finalist position at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards for Scale Up Company of the Year. Sam reflected on our journey so far, highlighting our commitment to investing in both people and technology.
He also emphasised the importance of customer feedback, stating, “Our success is built on understanding what our customers need to achieve their business goals.” Listening to our customers has always been a cornerstone of 5Y’s approach.
Data-Driven Innovation for the Future
Paul Saxton, CTO and Co-Founder, then took the stage to delve into 5Y’s mission. Paul discussed how 5Y helps companies advance through the data maturity curve, simplifying the process and enabling businesses to future-proof their data.
He also announced the continuation of the 5Y Innovation Forums, which were launched last year and allow us to collaborate more regularly with our customers. These forums will gather feedback and foster ongoing discussions about how we can further improve our products and services.
Paul gave live demonstrations of two exciting new tools—5Y DataStream and the upcoming 5Y Connect App. As nerve wracking as live demos can be, this time they went off without a hitch! More information on these new tools will come soon.
Harnessing the Power of Data
The second keynote came from Jamille Sammour, COO and Co-Founder of 5Y, who shared insights into how data innovation can drive productivity and reduce the risk of lost growth and failed digital projects. Jamille touched on how central data is to navigating business challenges and unlocking sustainable growth.
Collaboration with Customers
The most important part of the day was taking the time to listen to our customers, gathering their thoughts and recommendations. Their feedback is invaluable in guiding our innovations and ensuring we continue to meet their needs effectively.
Questions and feedback sparked ideas and we look forward to further discussions with customers to improve our service to them.
A Thrilling Conclusion
To wrap up the day, attendees were treated to an exhilarating Mercedes driving experience, including the AMG handling track and 4x4 off-road driving. The competitive spirit was palpable, and the driving experience proved to be a massive hit.
